Whitby, ON (July 7, 2016) – Imbrium Systems was awarded a 2016 Waters Next Award in the stormwater technology category for the Stormceptor® MAX stormwater treatment system.
The Water’s Next Award program is the only national awards program to honor leadership across the entire water sector—including public servants, non-governmental groups, researchers, municipalities, and technology providers that successfully work to change water across Canada. Since 2010, Water Canada has hosted the awards to help strengthen and celebrate the thriving national community by showcasing Canada’s water leaders, champions, and innovators.
Reagan Davidson, Regional Manager at Imbrium Systems, accepted the award at the 2016 gala awards ceremony in Toronto. “I’m a thrilled to accept this award on behalf of Imbrium and all of our licensed partners that work so hard at providing technology to keep our waterways clean,” said Davidson.
Stormceptor MAX is a customized oil grit separator (OGS) which is especially equipped to treat runoff from large areas due to its flexible modular precast design that easily accommodates different site requirements. The patented MAX system removes total suspended solids (TSS), oil and gross pollutants from stormwater runoff, and has been used across Canada, including; the City of Toronto on its waterfront to protect Lake Ontario, the City of Kitchener, Ministry of Transportation of Québec on A40, Currie Barracks, and in the Alberta oil sands.
